About our speaker:
Allen Moltzen: Worked for the County Veterans Services Office on-and-off for about 5 years and for the past 3 years have been the Veterans Services Officer. An Army veteran of the war in Viet Nam.
Dean Kaufman: County’s Veterans Advocate. Joined the Texas Army National Guard right out of High School in 1986, and worked as a 27E TOW Missile Repair Technician. In January of 1989, went on Active Duty and was stationed in Furth, Germany. While stationed in 2nd COSCOM Europe, his unit was deployed to Saudi Arabia for the first Gulf War, Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm ’90-‘91. Thoroughly enjoys working with veterans while helping them find necessary and vital resources. “It truly is more of a privilege than a job. Our veterans deserve the best we can give them.”
Ronnie Riveira: 1990-1996 United States Navy, Fleet Marine Force Corpsman. Operations in middle East and Somalia. Provided medical care in combat and Humanitarian efforts.
1996-2001: Oakland Police Dept. Police Officer, Weapons Unit Investigator, Special Operations Team Sniper
1997-2001: (Reserves while in above capacity) National Guard, 184th Air-Assault Co, Senior Medic of Recon and Sniper Platoon. Multiple Operations, Undisclosed.
2002: Graduated Nursing School At Napa Valley College
2004-2010: Heartland Hospice, Hospice Nurse and Safety Team Member.
2010-Current: Hospice of Santa Cruz County, Hospice Nurse/ Liaison Nurse/Liaison "We Honor Veterans"
