Hello,
Thank you for participating in this great marketing opportunity. I just wanted to send you this confirmation with the date, time, and general meeting logistics. Please read the following and contact me or any of the committee members if you have any questions.
Date- Nov. 13th, 2008
Time- 8:00 a.m. to (aprox.) 10:00 a.m.
- -The room should accommodate 50-60 people in a theater style setting. It is optional to set up with a dining room style setting if you have the space.
- -A podium or table & a PA system should be available for the speakers if there is a need for additional equipment you will be notified in advance. Please let us know in advance if you do not have these things available.
- -If applicable, please provide any signage needed to direct attendees to parking or meeting locations (also provide advanced notice if there are parking constraints or costs)
- -2 to 3 large tables should be set outside of the room for attendees to sign in, get a name tag and display their brochures and information
- -Please provide name tags and pens for attendees, if possible.
- -Most hosts will provide Coffee service, other drinks (juice water) as well as a continental breakfast for attendees. Others choose to provide a full breakfast buffet. If you can not provide any breakfast at all, we may be able to arrange for someone to sponsor the breakfast portion. Please give us advanced notice if you will need a sponsor.
- -Several hosts have been providing a raffle prize to be drawn for at the end of the meeting. All the business cards and information will go to the host after the raffle. If you can not provide this we may be able to find a sponsor. Prizes have ranged from a worth of $50 to $250, but there is no minimum or maximum worth requirement. Please give us advanced notice if you need a sponsor (if a sponsor provides the raffle prize, the business cards collected from the raffle entry will go to the sponsor of the prize).
- -At the beginning of most meetings the host will introduce themselves, their establishment and services as well as any staff that they would like recognized and also inform the attendees of the raffle prize (if the host sponsors that prize) This introduction usually lasts a duration of only for a couple of minutes. Then the host or SRT committee will also introduce the speaker. (optional and all based on time permitting)

2010
I have an interactive presentation, partially based on research, on women (55-75 yo) using technology (or not). I gave it at Peninsula Volunteers members and it went over really well. I would adjust it to reflect the Senior Roundtable audience, which for the most part is more technology savvy. The gist of it is we can really use technology to keep ourselves independent. Is this something you think would be of interest?

I was just introduced to your group by "Ask Barbara" and plan on attending the meeting in Santa Clara tomorrow morning.
I noticed that your provide the opportunity to speak to the groups and I would be delighted to have SCAN on the calendar for a speaking engagement. Scan Health Plan can speak to many topics ranging from the changes in the Health care bill and how it affects Seniors and numerous health related issues caring for Seniors.
Please let me know how I can secure a position in the future with your group.
